At the Downtown Hope Center, we provide a hand up and out of homelessness. Our Feed Me Hope Bakery Program, Feed Me Hope Culinary Program and Feed Me Hope Food Truck help our guests gain the skills they need to transform their lives.

Our center operates with the help of 20% staff and 80% volunteers! Volunteers are the backbone of the Downtown Hope Center. See the many ways you can help in our Kitchen, Shelter and Shower House and sign up to volunteer today

We rely on private donations of clothing, food, hygiene products and money to meet the needs of our guests. Donate online, through

Pick.Click.Give or send donations to our mailing address

 P.O. Box 202684 Anchorage, AK 99520.

O U R   M I S S I O N:

At the Hope Center we have a safe space where approximately 70 women can rest every night. We provide our female guests three meals a day, laundry and shower services, case management and spiritual care.

Here guests can receive a hot drink and pastry as they wait to receive clothing and showers. While guests shower they can have their cold, wet clothes washed in our laundry room. This area is also where guests receive their mail.

Integrated into our Culinary Program we use healthy ingredients to meet the nutritional needs of our guests. The garden is abundant with chard, herbs, kale, parsley and much more! The garden is maintained by volunteers.

Neighboring the Hope Center is an 18 unit apartment complex we like to call our Safe Place of Healing. The apartments are available to students in our program and to women who are struggling with addiction or coming out of abusive situations and/or human trafficking.
