Feed Me Hope Update 2018

Downtown Hope Center launched its workforce development program, Feed Me Hope (FMH) Culinary School and Bakery, in October of 2016. FMH is modeled after a similar program in Seattle WA, called Catalyst Kitchen (CK). Catalyst Kitchen acts as a consulting service to over 60 organizations throughout the United States, guiding them in developing a workforce development model that is supported by social enterprise. After sending an initial startup team to CK for three days of immersion training the DHC launched Feed Me Hope. Vicki's Sabbatical

Everyone's favorite kitchen manager, Vicki Martin, has recently decided it's time to leave the Downtown Hope Center after many years of dedicated service. Vicki has been an invaluable member of the Hope Center since its early days as the 'Downtown Soup Kitchen' - planning soup and sandwiches, coordinating volunteers, and spreading her joy and love of Jesus to our guests. She is truly part of the 'heart' of the Downtown Hope Center - what we do and who we are. Her love for our clients, leadership of our volunteers, and her immaculately kept kitchen will leave a lasting legacy on this organization.
